Monroe County Right to Life is an affiliate of the state organization, Right to Life of Michigan. As an affiliate, we strive to broaden the knowledge of the citizens of Monroe County regarding the beautiful gift of life from conception to natural death and about the many life affirming choices available.

Monroe County Right to Life is always open to new volunteers to participate in a variety of leadership and project roles. Sharing your time, talent, and passion is a value that will deeply enhance the success of all we do together to broaden the awareness and protection of life-affirming choices and ensure men and women who hold to a life-affirming conviction are elected to office at all levels of government and boards of governance, including school boards.

There are two areas in which you can serve your community:

Project Volunteers: Project volunteers are those who take on a specific project role, task, or function working with others on a project team. Some project roles may require multiple days or hours of time to fulfill. Other roles may be for a specific task on a given date and time. A project leader will work with other volunteers to complete a project that has been approved by the Monroe County Right to Life Leadership Team.

Leadership Team: ideally, Monroe County Right is led by a small number of volunteers willing to meet monthly either in-person or by teleconference (e.g., Zoom) to discuss the project plans for a given calendar year and provide oversight and support for the successful execution of those projects. Being involved in the election cycle, this leadership team must remain non-partisan and be able to fulfill its role through that lens. Members of the leadership team should be able to attend all leadership meetings and affiliate events, as well – to the extent possible – statewide one-day events sponsored by Right to Life of Michigan (such as the annual Legislative Day in Lansing and the annual State Conference held in state).
