Monroe County Right to Life is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization of diverse and caring people united to protect the precious gift of human life from fertilization to natural death. We are a 501(c)4 non-profit volunteer organization joining many citizens across the state, encompassing different political persuasions, various faiths and diverse economic, social and ethnic backgrounds through our affiliation with Right to Life of Michigan.
We strive to broaden awareness of our identified life issues of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and assisted suicide and to promote life affirming choices within our local community, our schools, our local government, our state capital, and our Michigan law.
What We Do
Promoting Knowledge
We, as an affiliate of Right to Life of Michigan, provide factual information on the topics of abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide and euthanasia to help shift the public opinion of our local citizens on relevant life issues.
Supporting Prolife Legislation
We participate in the legislative process, so life affirming laws are passed for all Michigan citizens, born and unborn.
Electing Prolife Candidates
We promote the election of people for all levels of government and school boards who will firmly promote and enact life affirming laws and policies.
Meet The President

Robert Burke, President
email: robert.mcrtl@gmail.com
Robert has been volunteering for Right to Life of Michigan for over 18 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan majoring in Psychology with a Minor in Business and Economics. He earned his MBA at Lawrence Tech University. He served his country for four years in the United States Navy having lived two years in Japan. Robert has been married to a wonderful, beautiful, and inspiring woman for nearly 30 years and together they enjoy the exciting company of their beautiful feline dependents. In a younger life, Robert became a post-abortive father and knows the trauma and consequences of not seeing the human person as made in the image and likeness of God and neglecting the religious and moral foundation critical to a self-governing democratic republic. Robert truly appreciates the opportunity to serve as a volunteer for Right to Life of Michigan. In addition to his beloved wife, Robert looks to St. Joan of Arc for inspiration and prays for the time when Michigan makes “Life. The Other Choice.” from conception to natural death.
“Act. Then God will Act.”
